Wild Rose Idlewild Airport is a small country airport located 2 1/2 miles NE of the Village. It has two turf runways East/West, 2960 feet long by 100 feet wide and a North/South, 1600 feet long by 100 feet wide. The main runway has pilot controlled lighting. It is open year round. At the present time, the North/South runway is not plowed during winter months. There are 16 hangars, a pilot lounge, and a maintenance/storage building.

The airport is operated for the Village of Wild Rose by the Wild Rose Airport Association, a non-profit corporation. No state or federal money is given to the airport for it's operations.

As a means of raising funds, the association holds an annual fly-in typically held in June. Features of the fly-in include unique airplanes, airplane rides, a fly-in breakfast, and a much anticipated Pig Roast dinner. This event attracts many of the local and visiting pilots, not quite the scale of EAA, however, we could get there.
